Q: What would it take to special order a Volkswagen Tiguan with a v6?
I love the tiguan, but I hate the fact it only has a 4 cil. Now I don’t know much about cars but I looked online and found a 2006 special ordered v6 tiguan. How do I go about doing that? What do you think the cost would be?

A: They only come in a 4 cylinder. Someone didn’t special order it. They bought a 4 cylinder and then had the engine swapped. At this point the car was worth nothing because of the modifications and they lost a good chunk of the warranty.

There was no 2006 Tiguan either. 2007 was the 1st year.

On the new Tiguan by Volkswagen which engine gives you the best mileage? When does the Tiguan come out? I really want. I like all the safely features.

A: when it is first released only the gas turbo will be available, so you won’t have a choice. once the diesel comes with it, it won’t be close. the diesel gets almost 60% better than the gas and still hauls similarly.

Q: Is it possible to obtain a Volkwagen Tiguan SUV without the roof rails which are fitted as standard?
VW UK say ‘No’, although a model is shown without roof rails on their Tiguan accessories website.

Q: Does the VW Tiguan come with a sunroof that is not panoramic or can you only get a panoramic one?
I understand that the Tiguan has an option to get a panoramic sunroof but I was wondering if you are able to just get a regular one that’s not panoramic.

A: There is no option on this model They do not offer a normal sized one yet to the best of my knowledge! panoramic or non!

Me and my friend are looking for a song with good harmonies and i heard the one on the ad and i really liked it but i couldn’t find out what the song was…. If anyone knows could they please tell me?

A: The tune is by Andrew Weatherall and is called ‘Feathers’

A: I think its nice and definitely not girly.

Q: What on earth has gone wrong at Volkswagen with their Tiguan deliveries.We are now into our 23rd week waiting.
The Tiguan in question was ordered 13th. November last in Shadow Blue with beige leather and auto box coupled to the TDI engine. So far we do not have a build date but because Volkswagen are a great company we DO have a loan car pending delivery of the Tig.

A: It’s very comon to use diferent tire colors in concept cars also the Ford Iosis X uses orange stripes on the tires, it;s only design stuff

Q: What do you think about the new 2009 VW Tiguan?
Have you guys seen it/what are you opinions of it? Do you think it looks like a nice car, or do you think it looks ugly & cheap.

I’m thinking about getting one, but I’m not sure how other people feel about it, any help is appreciated!!

A: The Tiguan is actually a small SUV. If you decide to get it I suggest giving serious consideration to getting the TDI diesel engine… you will get much better mpg and great torque. The diesel engine might not be available right away but it is worth waiting a few more months for.

Q: What are some similar cars to the vw tiguan?
Im looking for something slightly cheaper.

A: It is a luxury compact turbocharged SUV that competes with Acura RDX and Mazda CX-7. and Audi Q5 and BMW X3.

Less powerful and less luxurious or sporty small SUV’s that also compete with it for a cheaper price are Honda CR-V, Toyota Rav4, Nissan Rogue, Mitsubishi Outlander, Jeep Compass, and more.

A: I’ve tested it, I sell cars for a living actually, so what I can say is that Tiguan is an excellent option, because of its turbo engine and how it all perfectly works together, it’s agile and fast but kinda expensive for what you’re getting.
You may like to consider Audi Q5, Mercedes – Benz GLK & BMW X3 (and maybe BMW X1 which will soon be arriving) too because of their german engineering but I’d recommend you to check out the turbocharged Mazda CX7, it’s an awesome option because of its capabilities, it has much better equipment (compared to Tiguan) and it’s bigger too, it is also agile and sporty because of its turbo and I personally like it as much as Tiguan.
Check out your options, and If you like it, it doesn’t matter if I think it’s manly or girly just get what you like and what’s gonna make you happy, Volkswagen is a great manufacturer and you’ll be pleased having a Tiguan, that’s for sure.

I was watching the advert to this car and saw it part in a small size by its self, anyone explain?

A: There are some self parking cars out there. They work on sensors and computers.

Q: Where can i find a used vw tiguan?
They are relatively new so there are not many used ones. I would rather not get one from ebay. Im thinking more like a pre-leased.

A: To be honest the sales of the Tiguan have been quite unimpressive. I’d be willing to bet if you wait a little longer if not now you would be able to negotiate a very reasonable price at a dealer especially with the economy’s current state. Due the low sales and the fact that they just went on sale in the beginning of ‘08 I can’t imagine a whole bunch of used Tiguans being for sale since most leases are for three years and usually people keep their cars for the warranty period at least which is also 3yrs or 36k miles. Check with your local VW dealer if they have some on the lot chances are they will be willing to unload for a good price. The same thing happened with the mkV R32s what used to be a $33,000 didn’t sell well and people have got them for $25,000.

Q: How can VW call the Tiguan the “only compact SUV with a standard turbo”?
The Acura RDX is a compact SUV with a standard turbo and 40 more horsepower ! Why does VW feel the need to LIE and bend facts??
emiller- “compact” is a size, “luxury” isn’t! Don’t compare apples with orangutans ! You’re worse than VW !

A: because vw makes complete garbage and they need to make ridiculous claims to get people to buy their over priced junk.
